Oak toogkast from the 17th century in Renaissance antique style, made in the Netherlands, measuring 160 cm wide, 198 cm high and 60 cm deep; in good used condition with minor signs of age and spots and it can be locked.
Description from the seller
(Because Catawiki translated the text incorrectly, there is often gibberish or the wrong word choice.
Display cabinet from around 1660.
Also called the Utrecht cabinet, but there is no difference with Dutch display cabinets.
Quarter-sawn oak; due to the sawn grain the food vessels are visible in the wood. This gives the lovely grain pattern.
Here and there a lighter type of wood used as contrast.
Also in the joinery. Beautiful Renaissance style.
The joinery, the arches above the doors are borrowed from the triumphal arches of classical antiquity.
Under the doors a wide drawer.
The sides also have that fine construction with joinery.
Artistically carved lion heads in the cap.
The interior has two original shelves.
The lock is original and the key works.
Transport:
In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain we transport the piece of furniture in moving blankets and place it indoors. For other countries we ship on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and splash-water protective foil up to the front door.
For islands we charge a higher rate; delivery is to the door, please help as the driver is alone, the driver may not go inside or up the stairs.
The carrier will contact you to arrange delivery. He has your phone number and email address.
>>> These transports usually have no track-and-trace system.
I provide a dummy code for Catawiki’s computer system.
You cannot track the transport.
Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to exclude damage during transport.
Usually it is not possible to ship within three days; you may ignore Catawiki’s reminders.
Usually it is in transit between three and seven days.
You approve and sign for good receipt with the driver.
Any damage must be reported immediately in this form.
That is required for the insurance.
Damage that occurs afterward is at your own risk.
An 'empty' form means good receipt.
The carrier will call you to make an appointment for delivery.
You are free to arrange the transport yourself as well; indicate that on your payment to Catawiki.
For countries outside Europe you must pay extra customs duties and there are additional costs for clearance and administration. For non-European countries I provide one amount for convenience, but amounts may vary.
I’m happy to inform you. Please contact me.
