Description from the seller

Beautiful small antique globe of 16 centimeters in diameter (scale 1:80,000,000), made between 1910 and 1920 by the publisher Joseph Forest on Rue de Buci in Paris.
Joseph Forest was in the early years of the 20th century, together with G. Thomas, the leading Parisian publisher of globes and maps.
In 1886 Joseph Forest established his publishing house. The publisher was located at Rue de Buci 17-19 in Paris and later at Place du 13 Octobre 1 in Bagneux. Since 1889 he had been designated by the Ministry of Public Education as the official supplier of globes for education.
This specimen is exceptionally good in quality. In particular the original color is perfectly preserved and the gloss is excellent as well.
A rare beautiful object.
