Description from the seller

Beautiful lot of vintage Japanese kitchen knives, consisting of three different types: a santoku, a petty knife, and a kogatana. This combination makes it a very versatile set for both the hobby cook and the collector of Japanese kitchen tools.

The santoku knife (total length approx. 26 cm) is the classic all-round Japanese kitchen knife and ideal for slicing vegetables, meat and fish. The knife features an elegant shape and sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the wooden handle with rivets.

The petty knife (approx. 21 cm) is a smaller precision knife that is perfect for finer cutting tasks, such as trimming vegetables, fruit or smaller pieces of meat. Compact, nimble and very practical in daily use.

In addition, the lot includes a kogatana knife (approx. 20 cm), a traditional Japanese small knife often used for fine cutting work and detail work. This type of knife is known for its precise control and sharp tip.

All three knives are in used vintage condition with typical signs of wear, but they are sharp and ready to use. The blades bear Japanese characters and have an authentic look that is characteristic of traditional Japanese kitchen tools.

An interesting and versatile lot for lovers of Japanese knives, chefs or collectors of vintage kitchen equipment.
