The construction allows the light to function in two ways: the copper shade directs a warm, functional glow downwards (ideal for a dining table), while the glass upper neck glows softly, providing ambient light to the rest of the room. The interior of the copper shade is finished in white to maximize light reflection. The lamp is in pristine condition.
