AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant French mantel clock pendulum from the second half of the 19th century, with a case in veined red marble that is very decorative and bronze fittings. The dial features Roman numerals on enameled cartouches and is framed by a refined gold bezel.
Inside there is the original Vincenti & Cie “Médaille d’Argent 1855” movement, typical of high-quality French clocks of the era. The clock is complete with the original pendulum and winding key.
The marble is particularly beautiful, with natural veins that are very dramatic and make each piece unique. Overall the clock has great decorative presence and is ideal both for collectors and as a piece of furniture.
Conditions: the clock has not been tested recently and is sold as non-working, likely requiring overhaul or cleaning of the movement. The marble shows a small old repair/gluing on an upper corner and the top part is slightly loose if moved. There are also small side holes, probably due to the absence of previous decorative elements.
For accuracy, it should be noted that, being an old repair present, it cannot be guaranteed how it will react during transport, even though it will be packed with the utmost care.
