Heavy wrought-iron ceremonial sword, used as a ritual fetish on family altars. These objects were placed on altars to commemmorate a special person, maybe a military man. During ceremonies this object was poured over with special liquids or alcohol.. Nice older piece from the Ashanti community in Ghana. lenght.; 56 cm. Collected in Ghana in the late 1990`s.
