Rare and highly sought edition for collectors of Eça de Queirós. First book edition of the chronicles that the author sent from Bristol to Gazeta de Notícias in Rio de Janeiro, between 1880 and 1882, during the period in which he served as Portugal's consul in England.
Published by the prestigious Livraria Chardron (Lello & Irmão) in Porto, in 1905, this work gathers journalistic texts of great literary and documentary value, where Eça analyzes with his characteristic ironic and insightful style the British society of the 19th century.
