Swiss silvered pocket watch with hour and quarter repeater complication – 18k solid gold – Functional – circa 1880/1890 – Minute Repeater Pocket Watch

DESCRIPTION
Magnificent antique Swiss pocket watch with hour and quarter repeater complication (carillon), made approximately between 1880 and 1890.
Case fully in 18-karat solid gold (18K assay mark visible on inner covers).
Manual-wind, fully mechanical movement with anchor escapement and Breguet-type hairspring.
The mechanism functions correctly:
– Regular running
– Repeater operative via side lever
– The carillon sounds clear and clean, marking hours and quarters
It is a classic 19th-century horology piece, typical of high Swiss watchmaking of the Victorian era, originally intended for a well-to-do owner. It retains an old interior engraving dated in the 19th century, a detail that adds historical authenticity.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals and a seconds hand at six o’clock.
Original hands in Louis XV style.
The movement is clean and complete, with no missing parts or modern modifications.
Condition:
Very good condition for its age.
