Two 500 ml ceramic jars from Frantoio Muraglia in Puglia, Italia, part of the POP ART line named ARAGOSTA and FICO D'INDIA, containing 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil and sold as new.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 2 ceramic totems/jars of 500 ml each, from the POP ART line, LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, of extra virgin olive oil produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA, PUGLIA - ITALY.
Frantoio Muraglia was born in Andria, the capital of Apulian olive oil, five generations ago, but the family patriarch counts 450 springs. It is a majestic Coratina olive tree, a native cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among Italy’s 538 classified varieties. Our story as millers begins with this green giant that dominates our countryside on the Murgia plateau, a spread of about 40 hectares of olive trees. We continue hand-picking the olives and cold-pressing in the ancient stone mill.
The jars are from the POP ART series and are named: LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, just as the images depicted, from left to right, on each of them. The POP ART collection jars, all handmade by Puglian artisans, are true design objects that bring the colors of the land and sea of Puglia straight to you. Colorful marine pop elements: vivid tones and matte finishes personalize octopuses, squids and fish that dart across the white ceramic, highlighting the purity and artisanal perfection; pastel streaks instead become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – Frantoio Muraglia’s distinctive iconography – that dive into the sea to customize colorful octopuses and return to land, tinting the prickly pears with warmth.
