Frangipane is an elegant contemporary portrait in which the female figure emerges with delicate intensity from a veiled, tactile painting surface. The direct, magnetic gaze immediately captivates the viewer, while the vertical composition elongates the portrait and gives the work a strong stage presence.
The crown of frangipane flowers — a symbol of purity, beauty and spirituality in tropical and Balinese cultures — surrounds the figure like natural light, creating a refined contrast with the soft, slightly shaded tones of the background.
Glazes and light, chromatic drips give depth to the painted surface, suggesting a suspended dimension between reality and memory. The result is an evocative and sophisticated work, capable of conveying calm, mystery and charm.

'BARBARA NICOLETTO’ - Italian Artist.
Born January 1968 - Padua
Active between Reggio Emilia and Padova.

Always passionate about art and drawing, she continued her studies at the Pietro Selvatico Art Institute in Padua, specializing in painting, experimenting with various representational techniques such as watercolor, tempera, acrylic, ink, oil and printmaking, thanks to masters with deep knowledge of the oldest techniques reworked with new formulas and current approaches that make her a continually innovative and experimental artist.
Her search for new stimuli and evolutionary balances leads her to collaborate in the world of sport, actively combining several disciplines for physical and psychological well-being, which, blended with the visual arts, collaborate and support her until guiding her hand in teaching artistic disciplines and pursuing new professional goals.
Her art can only evolve and change with her mood and curious personality!
She rarely presents herself as a single recognizable artistic voice along a linear production line, but will converge and amaze with her eclectic mutable nature.

1989 / 2011 - She continues her work in furnishings as a designer for several important companies in Veneto and Emilia-Romagna.
2017 to present - Independent artist; Atelierist, painting student and related disciplines at Reart Reggio Emilia.
Her experimentation continues thanks to a great passion for other cultures abroad, deepening her knowledge of analog and digital photography, which in turn inspires her works.
Her curiosity for different modes of artistic expression brings her closer to ceramics, with Raku being her favorite.
The technique is learned and deepened in the master Nico Toniolo’s large workshop in Marostica.
She participates in various art contests with works that received recognition from juries, such as first prize at Raku Padova Arts in 2001. Further exploration of illusionist marble techniques and stone such as travertine and Carrara marble.
*Currently her most used technique is oil, continuously evolving through mixed media grounds blended with ultramarine blue, metallic oxides, pumice and whatever the moment or situation brings her to at that time.
Deep animal gazes, distant peoples, moons and fantastic landscapes!
*She develops and evolves an innovative original abstract Sealing artistic style. Unique of its kind.
She participates in numerous exhibitions with subjects and themes that are always different, making works appear as if by different hands, all thanks to her imaginative and eclectic transformative ability.
*Her fertile mind leads her to approach art with a new, deeper and more subjective gaze, stripping it of the paradigms with which it is labeled, returning it to its true nature: to speak the language of feelings and the deepest human instincts, surpassing words. After three years of study, she earned the title of Art Therapist recognized by UNI PRO.
