Description from the seller
The Denon DRA-75VR is primarily a high-quality AM/FM stereo receiver, but it also features video switching capabilities that allow video and audio programs from different sources to be combined for listening/viewing or recording on a video recorder. Because the video features are limited to switching, we regard it more as an enhanced stereo receiver than as a true A/V receiver.
The amplifier section of the Denon DRA-75VR delivers 65 watts per channel into 8 ohms from 20 to 20,000 Hz with total harmonic distortion of no more than 0.015 percent. For a receiver it has an unusually high dynamic power: 150 watts at 4 ohms or 175 watts at 2 ohms. The amplifier is equipped with Denon’s "Non-Switching Class A" circuit, designed to minimize the crossover distortion typically associated with Class AB or Class B amplifiers.
The receiver’s preamplifier drives three high-quality inputs (aux, cd, tuner) and a phono input whose gain and input impedance are switchable for moving-magnet (MM) or moving-coil (MC) cartridges. Separate connections for the preamp output and the power amp input at the back of the receiver, normally connected with jumpers, make it possible to place an external processor in the signal path without using a tape monitor loop. There are two tape loops, each of which can be used for a video recorder or a cassette deck to play, record, or copy from one device to the other.
