Description
This is a vintage US reissue of the fourth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. This version was released as part of the Atlantic "Super Saver Series" in the late 1970s. The record is factory sealed in its original shrink wrap. The front cover features the iconic blue tracklist sticker and the "Super Saver Series" logo. The album includes the classic line-up of Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, and Bill Bruford. Technical credits include production by Yes and Eddie Offord.
Condition
The item is factory sealed (Still Sealed). The shrink wrap is original and remains mostly intact, though it shows some vintage wear and minor technical flaws. There are small tears in the shrink wrap along the bottom edge and corners. The cover remains flat and protected, with no signs of ring wear or water damage. Due to the tight shrink wrap, there is a very slight corner dings typical for sealed records of this age.
Notes for collectors
Fragile is widely considered one of the pinnacles of progressive rock, famous for the hit "Roundabout" and the intricate "Heart of the Sunrise." While this is not the 1972 first pressing (SD 7211), this 1977 reissue (SD 19132) is highly valued for its high-quality Atlantic pressing standards of that era. This was the first Yes album to feature the legendary artwork of Roger Dean, whose "World in Pieces" concept became synonymous with the band's identity. Finding a "Super Saver" era copy still in its original factory seal is becoming increasingly difficult, as most were opened and played decades ago. This is a "time capsule" piece for any Yes completist or prog-rock enthusiast.
Matrix/labels
Matrix numbers are unavailable as the record is factory sealed. However, based on the catalog number SD 19132 and the outer packaging, the labels are expected to be the standard Atlantic green and red labels used during the late 70s.
