Description from the seller

Vintage set of 4 tins with Asian/Chinoiserie decor

A wonderful set of four vintage tins, consisting of three Japanese tins and one Niemeijer tin (Made in Holland, container). The tins are suitable for collectors and enthusiasts of Eastern decor and look lovely together.

Details and dimensions:

Largest Japanese tin: 25 cm high × 17 cm wide

Second Japanese tin: 23 cm high × 14.5 cm wide

Third Japanese tin (rectangular tea tin): 18 cm high × 13 cm wide, black-gold color scheme with a detailed illustration of figures in a traditional Chinese scene. The design includes intricate geometric and floral bands. Tins similar to this were often manufactured in England in the mid-20th century.

Smallest tin (Niemeijer coffee/tea tin, manufacturer Verblifa, Made in Holland): 9 cm high × 7.5 cm wide, condition fair, with some interior residue on the bottom (see photo).

Overall condition: good; all tins show some scratches and stains, as seen in the photos.

The Japanese tins are traditional tea caddies with Chinoiserie designs, a popular collectible category. The Niemeijer tin was originally used for storing coffee or tea.

A charming set for collectors and lovers of vintage Asian and Chinoiserie decor.
