Description from the seller
Rigid oval-shaped bangle bracelet dating from the second half of the 20th century. This vintage jewel features a classic design, ideal for daily wear, and is made of 8-karat gold (carat 333), as evidenced by its hallmark.
Characteristics
* Material: 8-karat Yellow Gold (hallmark "333" visible inside the clasp).
* Total Weight: 23.1 grams
* Cuff Height: 1 cm
* Inner Oval Dimensions: 6.5 cm (Long Axis) by 5.5 cm (Short Axis).
* Inner Circumference (Perimeter): Approximately 18.88 cm
Construction and Technique
The bracelet is built from a rigid gold band, its oval shape specifically chosen to fit comfortably to the wrist’s morphology. It features a hinged closure on one side and a safety clasp on the opposite side for secure retention.
The construction reveals careful craftsmanship: small openings visible on the inside (manufacturing holes) were left by the jeweler to allow evacuation of polishing products or etching acids after fabrication, a common technical detail on hollow or semi-hollow bangles.
Condition
The bracelet is in good overall condition, typical of vintage jewelry. A noteworthy element is a slight wear visible on the metal. There is a small transverse crack located on the outer face of the cuff. This crack is situated at the horizontal weld line of the cuff, suggesting a slight un-soldering or metal fatigue at this point.
Despite this wear, which should be noted for transparency, the crack remains superficial and does not affect the structural integrity or solidity of the bracelet, which is fully wearable. The clasp and safety mechanism function perfectly.
