Description from the seller

GENERAL:

Fiat 2000 Spider Pininfarina – Time Capsule from California

An exceptionally original Fiat Sport Spider 2000 Pininfarina, straight from a 30-year dry storage in California.
Only 80,000 miles on the odometer, with automatic transmission and sport wheels.

The spare wheel is still unused in the boot.
Includes the original instruction manual and onboard tool kit.

BODYWORK/PAINT:

The car is fully original, except for the right rear panel and the tops of the fenders, which have been repainted.
Original paint on the rest of the body.
Undercarriage, pipes, control arms, etc. are like new (see photos).

TECHNICAL:

The car runs, shifts, and brakes excellently.
Technical maintenance (recently carried out after 30 years of inactivity):
A great deal has been renewed or rebuilt, including:

Engine and gearbox mounts
Distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and plug wires
Water pump, timing belt and tensioner pulley
Oil + filter, crankshaft seal, various gaskets
Wheel bearings
Clutch master cylinder, brake hoses (4x), brake calipers (4x rebuilt)
Bushings (4x), wishbone rubber bushings, tie rod bushings
Shock absorbers
Brake pads front and rear
Automatic transmission lines
Fuel tank, fuel hoses, fuel gauge
Radiator cleaned
New tires (4x whitewalls) + balancing
Car aligned

INTERIOR:

Interior completely original and almost without signs of use.
Dashboard is nice and undamaged.

DOCUMENTS:

Includes the original instruction manual and onboard tool kit.
This Fiat does not require a COC document (introduced in 1996) for registration within Europe due to the age of the car.

COLLECTION:

This car is viewable and can be collected in Damwoude, Netherlands.

OTHER INFORMATION:

A rare opportunity to own a true time capsule — an unmodified, original Pininfarina Spider in exceptional condition, technically fully updated and ready for many years of driving pleasure.

We strive to describe the cars as honestly and accurately as possible, but they remain used vehicles.
There may always be something that requires attention or shows signs of use.

We therefore request that you come to view the car if in doubt.
We can assist with transport across Europe.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
