Description from the seller

Nappe ensemble et 8 serviettes – Hand embroidery in cross-stitch – 1960s – White cotton with blue shades
Description :
Vintage Elegance and Artisanal Work
Magnificent table set including a rectangular tablecloth and its 8 matching napkins, dating from the 1960s. This set is a superb example of the artisanal know-how of the era.
The design features geometric and stylized floral motifs, entirely hand-embroidered in cross-stitch. The choice of threads offers a gradient of blues (navy blue, azure blue and light blue) that stands out perfectly on the immaculate white of the fabric.

It is important to note that this household linen comes from an old trousseau.
• Conditioning: The tablecloth has seen very little use, and some napkins may have never been used. The fabric still retains the characteristic look of new-old-stock linen.
• Quality: The fiber (high-quality cotton) is sound, robust and has not suffered wear from industrial laundering.
• Care: The set has been kept with care. Note that a light bleaching or a first cold/warm wash may further improve the suppleness of the fabric (natural conditioning process of old linen).
Dimensions :
• Tablecloth: 190 cm x 125 cm (Ideal for a table of 6 people).
• Napkins (8 pieces): 37 cm x 30 cm.
Technical details :
• Period: Circa 1960.
• Technique: Hand embroidery, cross-stitch.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No snags, embroideries intact
