Description from the seller
This Belplasca stereo camera on auction comes with a Belcaskop stereo viewer and a rare close focus 1-2.5 meter clip-on unit. The camera is in excellent condition and works as it should.
The shutter is working at all speeds, not tested for accuracy or with film; the lenses look clear and scratch-free. Shutter works only with film inside. Cocking the shutter with the lever on the left top back of the camera. Comes with a case.
The Belcaskop viewer is in excellent condition.
The close-focus unit is in excellent condition with a case.
The Belplasca was the main part of VEB Belca-Werk's product palette for stereoscopic photography. This stereo camera for two times 24×30mm exposure format had been introduced at the international fair Leipziger Frühjahrsmesse in 1954. The other products were stereo slide frames, the stereo slide viewer Belcaskop, (included) and later the stereo slide projector Belplascus and the stereo viewing polarization spectacles. The camera had been crafted very precisely. It had the distance selection ring around one lens and the aperture selection ring around the other lens, both selectors affecting both sides. A knob between the lenses served as speed selector for the double shutter. A double aperture scale around the distance selection ring helped to estimate depth of field.
