For sale: a stunning Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4002, fully serviced and technically in excellent condition. This iconic model, designed by Jacob Jensen, is among the most appreciated tangential turntables ever produced. The player has been carefully cleaned, lubricated, and checked, so it now operates smoothly and reliably as intended.
The MMC4000 cartridge present is in good condition and delivers a warm, detailed sound. The dust cover is fully polished, clear, and free of the common early cracks near the hinges — a rarity for this model. Remains in any desired position.
An exceptionally beautiful and technically healthy unit, ideal for both the collector and the discerning listener.

I bought this turntable about 40 years ago, as a Second Life from a B&O dealer. Since then the player has been very little used, spending most of its time in storage or on display.

Fully serviced: mechanism, belt replaced, tonearm transport and electronics checked
New drive wheel for the tangential mechanism installed (Danish Soundparts)
Cleaned and lubricated where needed
MMC4000 cartridge present and in good condition
Dust cover polished, clear and without cracks at the hinges and remains in any desired position
Baseboard is undamaged and untouched, with a nice patina
Cosmetically very neat, with minimal signs of use
Tangential tonearm moves smoothly and accurately

Control buttons are free of the many common ingrained fingerprints.

At some point, there was an attempt to remove the aluminum strip between the dust cover and the rear metal section, which on the left side caused a non-structural blemish. Replacement strips are available through Danish Soundparts, but they are without the original branding and model markings. I chose to leave it as is to retain the original 'look'.
