This specimen is marked with "Made in England", indicating production at the company’s British facility.
This instrument, also known as a lensmeter or thickness gauge, was used by opticians and watchmakers to measure the thickness of glass and small mechanical components to within a fraction of a millimeter.
Specifications:
Age: 1920s-1940s
Material: Nickel-plated steel.
Range: 0 - 12 mm with fine scale.
Features: Equipped with the "Patent" stamp and clear engravings.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The hinge mechanism operates smoothly and the measuring tips are intact.
