Description from the seller

A magazine rack and a side table from the 1980s are an example of European functional design, kept in the spirit of late modernism. The construction is based on gilded, polished metal tubes, which form a distinctive frame and a wire-form magazine basket. The rectangular top is made of smoked glass (a slight chip on the edge, barely noticeable once mounted on the frame). The whole piece rests on four black plastic wheels, allowing easy movement of the furniture. The item is preserved in vintage condition – signs of time are visible as oxidation, discoloration, and scratches on the metal elements.

The item is functional, ready for use.

This magazine rack seems to tell the story of the 1980s, when functionality and decorative appeal went hand in hand. The gold frame reflects light, recalling a time when interiors became increasingly bright and open to striking accents. The glass top introduces lightness, and the movable construction – readiness for change and freedom of arrangement.
