Description from the seller
Gum ball vending machine from Ford Gum & Machine Co. Inc., an American manufacturer of chewing gum and gum vending machines. The company’s history goes back to 1913, when Ford Mason leased 102 machines and placed them in stores in New York City.
This type of vending machine was later widely used in shops, cafés and other public venues.
The machine has a large glass globe filled with colorful gumballs and sits on a chromed metal base. On the front is the recognizable Ford Quality Vending Products emblem. On top there is a metal sign with the text “Tell Your Fortune With Gumballs” with an illustration linking different colors of gumballs to a “prediction.”
The machine operates with a twist mechanism on the side and at the bottom there is the dispensing opening from which the gumball comes out.
Includes gumballs and 8 coins as pictured in the photos. It consists of one American 1-cent coin (Lincoln penny), six American 10-cent coins (dimes) and one European 2-cent euro coin.
There is no slot and no key present.
