Description from the seller

Description:
Impressive large cylindrical box with lid, made of metal with a dark patina finish (aged “silver-plate” or white metal). The piece stands out for its rich perimeter ornamentation based on infinite geometric interlacing and flowers, a classic design of Islamic decorative art.
Highlights:
Body: Perfectly cylindrical form resting on three spherical feet. The surface is completely covered by a very precise interlacing pattern.
Lid: Features radial decoration of four-petaled flowers. The most striking detail is the upper cap: a finely worked pinecone resting on a pierced openwork base of vegetal scrolls.
Handles: Two side rings with braided decoration, integrated through spherical supports.
Interior: The hand-hammered work is evident, confirming its artisanal manufacture.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. It presents a very uniform dark patina that accentuates the relief of the engraving. No major dents observed. The interior is clean and well preserved.

Technical Sheet
Material: Silvered metal / white metal.
Style: Neo-Ottoman / Islamic Art.
Period: First half of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 23×18
Weight: grams. 1,387
