Voodoo is the cultural foundation of the Adja peoples (including the Fons, the Gouns, the Ewe … and, to a certain extent, the Yoruba…) peoples who constitute an important element of the populations south of the Gulf of Benin states (Benin, Togo, Ghana, Nigeria…).
