Minox 35 AL | Analogue camera

The Minox 35 AL, introduced in 1987, is a simplified variant of the famous 35mm compact line from the German company Minox. Unlike more advanced models like the ML or MB, the AL was conceived as an economical point-and-shoot camera, intended for those who wanted Minox compactness without complications. Fixed Focus Lens: It features a Minotar 35mm f/4 lens with fixed focus, eliminating the need to manually adjust distance.
Exposure Simplified: Instead of aperture selection, the AL uses weather symbols (sun, cloud, etc.) to set exposure. The camera automatically adjusts the shutter speed based on the chosen symbol..
The 35 AL was the stripped-down entry-level model. Today it is considered an interesting piece for collectors precisely because of its philosophical uniqueness within the range: an extremely small full-frame yet with the simplicity of a luxury toy camera.
The back of this Minox apparently has been repaired (look closely at the photos) but on the plus side it works (a rarity for an AL).
