Description from the seller
A revolution that forever changed the history of the automobile. Official document and representation of the Lamborghini Miura, presented in 1966 as the work that redefined the concept of the modern supercar. Conceived by a young and brilliant team of engineers from Sant’Agata Bolognese — Marcello Gandini in design for Bertone and Gian Paolo Dallara in engineering — the Miura was not only an extraordinary car: it was a statement of intent.
The Lamborghini Miura is the first major mid-engine V12 supercar produced in series. Its architecture, inspired directly by competition, placed the engine right behind the seats, changing forever the balance and dynamics of high-performance sports cars. That technical decision, bold and unconventional for a road car at the time, marked the start of a new era.
Its bodywork, designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, is considered one of the most beautiful ever created. Low, fluid lines, perfect proportions and the iconic ‘eyelids’ over the headlights in the early versions formed a sensual and aggressive silhouette at once. The Miura did not look like a conventional car: it looked like movement even when stationary.
Under its sculpted rear cover throbbed an atmospheric 3.9-liter V12, capable of developing between 350 and 385 HP depending on the version (P400, P400 S and P400 SV). Paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, it offered an intense, sonorous and visceral driving experience. The roar of the V12, located just a few centimeters from the cabin, made every journey a unique sensory experience.
More than numbers, the Miura offered character. It was demanding, passionate, imperfect in the most romantic sense of the word. It did not seek to tame power, but to celebrate it. Its behavior, its sound and its presence quickly made it a symbol of exclusivity, rebellion and Italian sophistication.
Today, the Lamborghini Miura is a key piece in automotive history, an absolute icon that gave birth to the concept of the supercar as we understand it today. A masterpiece that embodies the bold, visionary and deeply emotional spirit of Lamborghini.
Comes with a black wood frame and clear synthetic glass. Very well wrapped and protected for safe transport until you have it in your hands. The exterior dimensions are 63 x 93 cm and 3 cm in depth.
