He exhibited for the first time at the Triennale of Monza and from 1939 to 1941 he participated in the Bergamo Prize. During the war he was deported to Germany and upon returning to Italy he joined the Milanese painting movement Corrente, founded by Ernesto Treccani. In 1946 he moved to Casalmaggiore and abandoned painting the following year. Only in 1955 did he resume the painter's activity, turning to surrealism and informale. In 1961 he moved to Parma, where he died in 1979.
