Industrial sign by Coime Cornaredo (Italy), original metal plaque dating to the 1960s–1970s in good vintage condition with minor wear, measuring 43 × 23 cm, 5 mm thick and weighing 1.2 kg.
Description from the seller
Rara Insegna Industriale Vintage "COIME" – Cornaredo (MI) – Alluminio Pressofuso
Incredible piece of Italian industrial archaeology: an authentic metal sign (presumably die-cast aluminum or heavy alloy) from the historic COIME company, based in Cornaredo (Milan).
The object features a splendid embossed graphic with a distinctly 60s/70s feel, with bold characters and the "C.C." logo enclosed in an oval. The plate retains its original patina, with the contrast between the dark background and the metallic raised lettering giving it a bold, tactile character.
This type of plaque was usually affixed to large industrial machines, at the entrance of plants or on lifting structures, representing a symbol of the Milanese economic boom.
Key Features
Company: COIME (Cornaredo, Italy)
Material: Solid metal (alloy/Aluminum)
Dimensions: 43 x 23 cm
Thickness: 5 mm (remarkable sturdiness)
Weight: 1.2 kg
Details: Raised lettering, complete with original corner holes for mounting.
Condition
The item is in good vintage condition. It shows signs of age and industrial use that authenticate its history (small paint loss on the base and a slight chip on the upper left corner, as visible in the photo), elements that add charm and collectible value to the piece. Structurally solid and ready to be displayed.
Why buy it?
Perfect for Industrial Loft style interior design, for vintage workshops, classic car garages, or as a display piece in a collection of advertising signs and metal nameplates. A fragment of the history of technical design "Made in Italy".
