With Avengers of Gaul, SKE propels the indomitable Gaul into a heroic dimension reimagined through the codes of contemporary street art.
In an explosion of energy, Asterix appears as a true urban superhero, mixing references to modern pop culture with the mythical heritage of the comic book. Tags, impactful typography and vibrant colors cover the character, turning his body into a graphic manifesto.
The parallel with the Avengers universe creates a bold reading: the Gaulish hero becomes a universal figure of resistance, power, and independence. Between humor, nostalgia and urban culture, SKE reworks symbols to reinvent them.
A dynamic and generational work, designed for collectors sensitive to the intersections between iconic comic books, global pop culture and street art aesthetics.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a French self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He won the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then was named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his position on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital artworks market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style that is now indispensable.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Established & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
AN UNIVERSE OF HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work is part of a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to rework the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to bring them into a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic avarice of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories as if by Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with the codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textures that recall the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
