Signed in the upper left Properzj Sandro 1922
Born in L'Aquila, Abruzzo in 1883. After resigning from the technical institute, he pursued artistic studies and graduated from the Brera Academy in Milan, where he also attended a course in drawing nudes and in decoration. He devoted himself to theatrical and cinematic scenography and directed large historical or fantastical reconstructions such as Dante's Inferno and The Holy Bible, which were among the most impressive films produced in the immediate post-war period (1920). He exhibited, with public and critical approval, at the Venice Biennales and the Milan Permanent Exhibitions, at the exhibitions of watercolorists, etc.
