Description from the seller

Crystal cut perfume bottle with a solid silver mount (.833) – circa 1880

A jewel from the late 19th century: this elegant perfume bottle, crafted circa 1880, is a stunning example of refined Belle Époque luxury. Crafted from clear, hand-cut crystal, its pattern sparkles in the light with a sparkle that only authentic antique crystal possesses.

What makes this object particularly special is the solid silver mount in .833 silver content – a alloy characteristic of continental silver from that period. The cap, neck, and decorative band are richly detailed, with fine engravings and a clasp that still functions. The cap bears silver marks.

Perfume bottles like this were not only functional in the 19th century, but also a form of personal luxury. They were often given as gifts, carried in bags, or displayed on the dressing table as symbols of elegance and refinement. The combination of crystal and silver demonstrates precision craftsmanship and an eye for beauty in the smallest details.

The bottle is in beautiful condition and completely original. A charming object with historical allure – ideal for the collector of antique silver, perfume bottles, or small, museum-quality crafts.
