A lot of 129 birthday, name-day and other occasion greeting postcards from Germany and Austria, dated roughly 1938–1945 in the Second World War period, in good condition with signs of aging and minor corner cuts.
Description from the seller
There are approximately 129 pieces of very diverse greeting cards for birthdays, name days and other occasions from the years around 1938 to 1945, the time of the Second World War, from Germany and Austria, available for auction without a minimum price.
The offered postcards originate from the estate of a collector and are mostly in good condition. A large part of the cards has been “used.” It is scanned both sides of each card, thus the condition is well documented.
Note: the regular, wave-like image flaws visible in some images are due to glitches when scanning postcards produced with screen printing (or similar printing processes with regular fine structures such as dots, polygons, etc.) and are not visible on the postcard itself!
This is a private sale in accordance with the illustrations and the description; all information is provided to the best of our knowledge. This applies especially to the dating of the objects, for which, when year indications are unreadable or unrecognizable, an estimate has been made to the best knowledge.
The objects are about 80-90 years old and thus show signs of wear and storage traces. The illustrations are intended solely as information about this offer and may not be used for commercial purposes.
There are no returns or exchanges possible; the sale is made without warranty. Particular care is taken to ensure good packaging and reputable shipping. Of course, the terms of the Catawiki selling platform apply.
