Elegant antique standard lamp of English origin, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Crafted from a period William IV bedpost, it is made of quality mahogany with a rich, warm tone and attractive aged patina. The gently tapered and reeded column features ring-turned details, while the lower section is decorated with foliate carving and fine boxwood stringing. The lamp stands on four gracefully splayed legs with shaped feet, giving it a balanced and refined appearance. It is fitted with a pleated fabric shade and a switched bayonet bulb holder, complete with white cable and three-pin plug. The lamp has been tested and is ready for use. Dimensions: 43 × 43 × 183 cm. Shade diameter 57 cm, height 35 cm. In very good antique condition, with minor signs of age consistent with its period.
