Description from the seller
Elegant and refined vintage pitcher signed F. Ferri Bologna, made of pressed glass with a silvered metal mount, an expression of Italian artisanal quality from the mid-20th century (roughly the 1960s–1970s).
The glass body, finely worked with a geometric diamond motif and a central cartouche, gives the object extraordinary luminosity, reflecting light brilliantly and creating a decorative effect of great impact. The decanter stands out for its elegant presence and its ability to enhance any environment, both as a functional element and as a decorative piece.
The upper mount and base, enriched with a refined ornamental border, harmonize perfectly with the glass. The contoured, richly decorated handle adds a classic and distinctive touch, while the wide, functional spout completes the design with balance and practicality.
Overall, the piece presents very well, with a luminous, clean, and elegant aesthetic.
Dimensions:
• Height: 38 cm
• Width (handle–spout): 14 cm
• Maximum body width: 9 cm
• Base diameter: 9 cm
Weight: 1.1 kg
⸻
Conditions
The piece presents in good overall condition.
The mount, originally gold-finished, has subsequently been polished, resulting in a surface that is now uniformly silvered. There are only minimal and sporadic traces of the golding remaining, limited to small millimetric points, visible only upon close inspection.
The silver plating appears solid and well preserved.
A very small pinpoint defect of the plating on the stem is noted, on the upper portion near the glass; this imperfection is hardly visible and barely perceptible during use or display.
It should also be noted that any areas that may appear as more extensive wear toward the bottom are actually glass reflection effects and not material defects.
The glass body is in excellent condition, with no obvious cracks or breaks.
