- Inscriptions: Obverse: bust of Yuan Shikai with shaved head and ceremonial uniform, surrounded by a legend in Chinese characters and a vegetal crown at the bottom. Reverse: two crossed flags with hanging tassels, one with a star emblem and the other with wavy stripes, accompanied by a circular legend in Chinese characters and stars as separators.

Modern medal struck in silver-plated copper with an antique finish, corresponding to design LM-863 inspired by the republican era. The obverse presents a solemn portrait of Yuan Shikai, in a realistic and sober style, with careful facial modeling, well-defined reliefs and satinized fields of uniform texture. The reverse shows a symbolic composition of political and military character, with crossed flags rendered precisely and with balance, highlighting the contrast between reliefs and the matte background. The overall piece offers a homogeneous gray patina, full reliefs and immaculate surfaces, typical of a proof strike of the highest quality, certified to the highest grade of preservation.
