Description from the seller

Refined antique leather box with ornate gilded decorations and a precious appliqué on silk. Suggestive, beautiful in appearance and form, it is made of fine walnut-colored leather, made in Italy.

It is finely enriched with elegant gilded ornamental details, with filigree gold floral motifs on the lid and along the edges, meticulously executed to enhance its elegance and artisanal craftsmanship.

An enchanting central motif with an appliqué on printed silk inserted into the lid depicts a gallant scene in eighteenth-century style with figures in elegant dress, attributed to the French painter Jean-Baptiste Joseph Pater (1695-1736), the work titled "Riunione nel Parco".

The lower part is enriched with beautiful floral scroll engravings on the leather.

The structure features soft lines and rounded corners. Ideal as a jewelry box, a trinket box, or a decorative accessory—a jewel for classic and refined interiors.

Dimensions:
Height 5 cm.
Width 15.5 cm.
Depth 12 cm.
