Antica - Frame - Wood, Plaster

Ancient large porthole frame in carved wood and plaster.
Scenic, beautiful in appearance and form, its main feature is the large relief decorations and the depth given by the three-level shaping.
In the outermost part delightful interlaced decorations alternating with spherical elements present themselves as prestigious and refined.
Majestically stands out the frontal area with the large floral and foliate volute decoration; they create a splendid cascade of flowers across the entire frame, of great pleasantness and charm.
Very beautiful is the innermost area characterized by a rich incised dotted border.
It presents itself as imposing with the substantial frontal thickness of 8 cm.

The frame is antique; the joints at the back show that it is a handmade object probably from the 19th century and early 20th century; nonetheless it is in good condition.

This frame is a true masterpiece by the master artisans of past eras. Very well cared for in details and richly covered with plaster, it presents itself in optimal dimensions for displaying one's paintings, portraits.
