Antique brass weight set for a balance scale, mounted on an original solid wood block. It is a classic set used in precision scales (commercial or laboratory scales), dating from the late 19th century / early 20th century.
The weights are solid brass, with a turned upper handle, and feature engraved inscriptions with their respective masses (grams), visible on several pieces. The single-piece wooden block has individual cavities for each weight, evidencing artisanal manufacture and long-term use over time.
Composition
Set composed of several weights of different calibers (from large weights to small increments), allowing a wide range of measurements. Ideal for old two-pan scales.
Condition
Good overall condition for age.
Shows natural patina, signs of use and slight oxidation compatible with antiquity. The wood shows surface wear, cracks and stains typical of historical use. Complete and stable.
