Pair of industrial metal storage containers from the mid-20th century (1940–1950), made in Italy, in good condition with light signs of wear and aging; height 23 cm, width 32 cm, depth 58 cm, two objects.
Description from the seller
Pair of patinated metal industrial containers – mid-20th century
Fascinating original pair of industrial containers sourced from a factory environment, made from robust sheet metal with steel rod side handles. Their functional, essential shape and strong industrial imprint make them today perfect examples of authentic era industrial design.
The surface features a splendid natural patina developed over time, with traces of oxidation, color variations and signs of use that tell the object's story and enhance its tactile charm. The warm tones of the darkened metal, combined with rusty hues and worn areas, give these containers an extremely decorative and refined aesthetic.
Originally used as technical containers in a production setting, today they lend themselves magnificently to new roles in contemporary interiors: ideal as flower stands, magazine holders, wood storage, or decorative containers, they fit perfectly within industrial-style spaces, urban lofts, modern interiors or vintage-inspired environments.
The structure is solid and stable, with sheet metal folds typical of the period's industrial production and integrated side handles that facilitate movement. Authentic objects, not contemporary reproductions.
These pieces have a strong decorative character and are increasingly sought after by collectors of industrial design and recovered-from-production-context furniture.
Good general condition consistent with age and original use, with patina and signs of time that attest to their authenticity.
Appropriate packing and traceable shipping across Europe.
