Emco Unimat SL steel metal lathe from Austria, estimated 1960–1970, in industrial design style, weighing 20 kg and in good used condition.
Description from the seller
I am bringing to this auction the renowned Emco Unimat SL lathe, manufactured in Austria during the 1960s to the 1980s, accompanied by a large number of extra accessories that make it a unique piece. This lathe, purchased new from the brand's official distributor in Spain, has always been kept in perfect condition and protected, still preserving the papers corresponding to the original warranty, as well as the price lists from the era and, of course, the operating and maintenance instructions (complete and in Spanish).
This lathe is a benchmark machine in the world of micromechanics before the advent of numerical controls and motors with speed variation and is very valuable for the work of watchmakers, jewelers, or demanding model makers.
Designed to work with very precise tolerances in metal, plastic, or wood materials, it runs on its original 220V high-torque motor with speed regulation via polyurethane belts.
It is mounted on a wooden stand, which includes the automatic carriage feed unit for the tool post. Additionally, the original column is included in the lot, which easily converts the lathe into a milling machine. The headstock can be angularly adjusted for turning tapered parts.
The feed of the tool post, the tailstock feed, and the whole assembly move smoothly and without play.
As shown in the photographs, the lot includes two wooden boxes with original brand turning tools, in perfect condition and with hardly any wear. Also included are several milling cutters and a center drill, as well as a three-jaw chuck, a faceplate, a fixed tailstock, and a swiveling tailstock with an integrated bearing.
Shipments only to the European Union.
