Table lamp (2) - Bronze - Greek Taste

Exceptional set of two bronze lamps in the “Grout Grec” style, from France, dating from the mid-20th century (c. 1940-1960).

From late Neoclassicism with Art Deco influences, and created with cast bronze and gilded, each lamp represents a figure of a woman, with drapery blown by the wind and a dynamic posture (possibly a representation of a muse or a nymph):
It holds the shaft that culminates at the light point. The Rococo-style base rests on three feet decorated with vegetal reliefs.

The quality of the chiseling is spectacular, noticeable in the detail of the hair and the folds of the tunic, which capture light in a masterful way.

Excellent condition. They have been fully rewired to meet current safety standards.

Dimensions: 36 cm in height and 15 cm in diameter.
