Painted Leaf from a Manuscript with Two Figures, a Persian gilded-paper leaf from a 19th‑century manuscript, 19 cm by 11.5 cm, showing a seated figure with a gold turban and blue cloak and a standing young man with a gold turban and red cloak against a backdrop of mountains and a river, in excellent condition with corner damage, original authenticity with Certificate of Authenticity; acquired in 2016 from a UK gallery/antique dealer, provenance from a private collection dating to 1970 in the United Kingdom.

Painted with a seated figure with gold turban and blue cloak, gold shoes, a standing young man, gold turban, red cloak, mountains behind, river in the forefront. Persian inscription on top and full back page.
Size: 19 cm x 11.5 cm - 7 1/2 inches x 4 1/2 inches
Material: Gilt Paper
Culture: Persia, c. 19th Century A.D.
Condition: Corner damaged, otherwise intact
Provenance: Collection Mr. I. Roper, acquired in the 1970. London, UK.
