This work is delivered with its velvet embroidered sleeve, signed KARL LAGASSE, handmade in Normandy.

Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained prominence in 2009 with his sculptures One Dollar, ranking that year among the top ten sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl for his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais.
Karl Lagasse’s artistic journey began at the age of 7 with collages, encouraged by his meeting with sculptor César Baldaccini. He then turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris subway while remaining passionate about collages. Artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to fuse his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin.
2026: - Finalization of the work One Dollar Green Bronze 8 meters 7 tons. The largest One Dollar sculpture in the world created by the artist.
2025: - Installation of the monumental work Reflection of the Sun. Installed near the new Pavillon des Bains, on Promenade Michel d’Ornano, inaugurated by Mayor Philippe Augier on September 8.
2024: - Art Miami - Collective exhibitions Galerie Nicolas Auvray New York. For the occasion, a bronze cryptogram of 1.80 m and a 2-meter One Dollar were exhibited during the event.

Around the car, several sculptures representing one-dollar bills are laid on the ground, symbolizing the repayment of humanity’s largest debt.
