Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained prominence in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking that year among the top ten sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art.
