Extremely rare Roman glass libations bowl (Trulla) with deep cup, outfolded and rounded rim. The bowl is standing on a round base. The handle is no longer present. -> A Trulla is a glass or metal vessel with a long horizontal handle (ladle or dipper). They were used in the Roman Empire for libations, drinking or pouring purposes during religious ceremonies, and possibly in bathing activities. Diameter bowl: ± 118,5 mm Condition: incomplete, restored in some parts. Attractive colouring with some deposits and signs of iridescence. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images. Extremely rare Roman glass libations bowl (Trulla) with deep cup, outfolded and rounded rim. The bowl is standing on a round base. The handle is no longer present.
