Description from the seller

The image depicts a painting entitled 'Ecce Homo' (Behold the Man), an iconographic subject depicting Jesus Christ crowned with thorns during His Passion.

The work shown appears to be inspired by the famous Ecce Homo by Antonio da Correggio, also known as Correggio, created around 1526. Many subsequent painters, especially from the 17th-century Flemish school and the Italian school up to the 19th century, reproduced or reinterpreted this particular composition.

Jesus Christ with the crown of thorns and the rope around his neck, presented to the people by Pontius Pilate.
