Hildegard Schwammberger (1950) - Still Life

The artist Hildegard Schwamberger, born in the Ruhr area in 1950, signs her paintings with the first letter of her family name being a clef. This noticeable alienation of the letter "S" has a background. The highly talented artist is a multiple award-winning pianist. In 1972 she received the Folkwang Prize. In the same year she was a prizewinner in the university competition. At the Folkwang University in Essen (master class Professor Georg Stieglitz) she completed her final artistic examination. As a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service, she continued her music studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Professor Dieter Weber. Since 1968 she gave her first concerts.
