Description from the seller
Magnificent authentic Art Deco-style table clock, signed by the famous Silvoz Paris house. This piece of great elegance features two hummingbirds finely carved in régule with a dark and gold patina, soaring over a two-tone dial typical of the interwar period.
Technical details:
Materials: Veined white marble base, frame in régule, dial with raised Roman numerals.
Protection: Original domed glass mounted on a brass hinge (opens perfectly).
Movement: Antique mechanical movement wound with a key (square on the front).
Key absent
Operating condition:
The clock is sold for overhaul/restoration.
Important note: When winding, the clatter of the mechanism can be heard clearly, indicating that the mainspring is intact and functional. However, the movement does not start by itself.
Aesthetic condition:
Very good overall appearance. Original patina preserved on the birds. Some normal signs of wear on the dial and the rear case (see detailed photos which are part of the description).
