M. Burgaz, Erase una vez..., 2021, mixed media with acrylic painting and collage on wood, 30 × 62 cm, multicolor with blue, white, pink and red, signed, original edition, in excellent condition, shipped directly from the artist with certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
During confinement we value more what we have; being alive is a celebration; perhaps we should celebrate life always and not only in these circumstances. The cities seen from inside houses, only viewing what our windows permit and imagining the rest. Imagination always helps to create a better world. The landscape we see and the one we imagine and long for, united from within, a painting that invites the imagination to fly and that highlights and brings life to any setting. This work is made on wooden board and is shipped rolled in a cardboard box with its Certificate of Authenticity. Because of the dates approaching Holy Week, this piece might be delayed in its shipment.
María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that hers was art. She began her training at the Madrid School of Decorative Arts, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Painting from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Women and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, is also in the collections of municipalities such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Diputación de Alicante…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad, and her work is also in numerous private collections around the world.
Her industrious and enthusiastic spirit has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and anything that allows her to express everything she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living through, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great narrative and technical richness.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for added safety.
