Description from the seller
Detailed description:
This rectangular table set from the 1960s is a remarkable example of textile craftsmanship. It consists of a tablecloth and four matching napkins, made from a high-quality linen and cotton blend with a tight grain.
The centerpiece of this set is the crochet lace work, entirely handmade. The tablecloth features a central crown composed of rosettes with stylized floral motifs, precisely inserted into the fabric. This motif is echoed on the drape of the tablecloth as well as on each of the four napkins.
Dimensions:
• Tablecloth: 1.70 m x 1.20 m.
• Napkins: 35 cm x 35 cm (four in total).
The set is presented in exceptional condition, nearly as new. The fabric has retained its shape and its natural ivory color without stains, yellowing, or wear on the embroidery. The edges of the tablecloth and napkins are finished with a crochet trim in a coordinated tone.
This collectible piece illustrates the finesse of mid-20th-century home ensembles. It is ideal for refined daily use or to complement a collection of antique textiles.
