Agfa Karat 3.5 (Type 201/3), physically in good condition and tested and working, with a Solinar F3.5/5 cm lens (No. 637608) from the 1940s; the shutter works but the lens is slightly fogged.
Description from the seller
Agfa Karat 3.5 (Type 201/3) Solinar F3.5/5cm No 637608
Shutter works; the lens is slightly hazy
The Agfa Karat series was introduced in 1937.
The cameras owe their name to the feature of using two Karat cartridges containing a 35 mm film of 12 exposures. Agfa argues that a 12-exposure film corresponds to the average number of shots taken when using a camera.
Since the receiving cartridge is identical to the one that contains the unused film, there is no need to rewind at the end of the roll; simply give the laboratory the receiving spool, then put the empty spool back in its place. To avoid confusion between a new film and a film that has already been exposed, an EXP mark appears on the end of the film on the portion that does not fit into the cartridge.
